How To Confirm Your Order
For celebration cakes We take 50% non-refundable and non-transferable deposit of the entire order. For short notice orders less than 4 weeks to the date must be paid in full on ordering.
For wedding cakes, we take 50% Non-refundable non-transferable deposit of the entire order. The final balance is taken no later than 6 weeks to the order date/delivery time. If you would like to book your date without receiving your final quote this can be done with £150 non-refundable deposit. This will confirm your date and the rest of the details can be sorted out later
Please note until the deposit has been received your cake is not confirmed even if you have received a quote. All invoices are valid for 14 days. Prices for our products are subject to change without notice.
Non-Payment
Please note if full payment of the wedding cake is not received 28 days before the order delivery, collection and set up date; it is assumed the cake has been cancelled. The cancellation policy therefore applies in all cases if after the 28 day deadline you make payment we reserve the right to refuse your trade.
Cake Tastings
Sample cakes can be ordered through our website for £30. (this includes 6 of our most popular flavours. The flavours in the sample box cannot be altered
We offer a complimentary one to one design consultation to all our clients over the telephone or via zoom. Alternatively, we offer face to face consultations at our bakery for £70 for cakes over £900 (This price is made up of the non-refundable £40 consultation fee and £30 cake tasting box you will receive 6 of our most popular flavours. The flavours in the sample box cannot be altered
if you have orderd one of our cake tasting boxes Wedding clients that have made an enquiry with us will receive a discount for £5 off your wedding cake when ordered
Changes & Cancellations
By the customer
For celebration cakes 50% (your non-refundable and non-transferable deposit) of the entire order will be retained by Paddy Cakes Ltd for cancellations 14 days prior to collection/delivery date and 100% of the entire order will be retained by Paddy Cake ltd for cancelling the order after that time
For wedding cakes your 50% Non-refundable non-transferable deposit will be retained for cancellations 28 days prior to the order due date and 100% of the entire order will be retained by Paddy Cakes ltd for cancelling the order after that.
For wedding cake consultations cancellation must be made minimum 48 hours before your appointment to be eligible for a refund
For sugar work we will contact you 5 weeks ahead of time when we start working on your order should you wish to make any amendment they must be done then. Once we start working on your order, you can no longer make any changes and will not be eligible for refunds
Please understand that this policy is in place due to the time and resources having already been invested in for filling your order and loss of business arising from turning away other bookings on your chosen date
Changes To Your Order
We understand that sometimes situations may occur which can result in you wanting to change your order. Please contact us as early as possible so this can be actioned generally 4 weeks for wedding cakes and 2 weeks for celebration cakes
Any changes may be subject to changes in the cost depending on the design detail.
Change of Occasion date
Please note should your wedding or celebration date be postponed or rescheduled we require a minimum of 6 weeks notice of the new date. This notice is to be provided in writing and will be acknowledged with a written response. If your request for change of date is made less than 6 weeks in advance of the delivery date, an administrative fee of £70 will be charged. If your request for change of date is made more than 6 weeks in advance of the delivery date, we will accommodate the change of date at no additional charges.
PLEASE NOTE: Under all circumstance, we may accommodate your change of date provided sufficient notice is given and that we can offer a cake for the re-arranged occasion date. We will do our best to accommodate your order but CANNOT GUARANTEE to be able to do so. If we are already fully booked for your new occasion date and unable to provide the cake, our cancellation policy applies. Please bear this in mind when ordering. We highly suggest that you take out insurance to cover all eventualities.
Delivery
We deliver our products our self. We service most of London and some locations just outside of London we do not use couriers due to the risk of mishandling the package our products require a lot of time and effort to make so we want to ensure that it reaches you safely. The delivery charge is £12 for all orders over £100 within 10-mile radius from our bakery and £2 per a mile after that.

Set Up
While we try to ensure that your cake is presented looking it's very best, the stability or levelness of the table upon which the cake is displayed or the quality of the surrounding around the cake is not in our control. Please ensure, the 'cake presentation table' is stable, level and sturdy enough to hold the cake. Once the cake is delivered or collected, set-up, and signed for; Paddy Cakes is not responsible for any interference or damage to the cake.
No Show or Failed Delivery Attempts
Orders for collection that are not picked up will not be refunded.
Orders that require delivery and cannot be delivered due to customer’s wrong information will be held and sent back to Paddy Cakes Bakery we will call to rearrange delivery. Should you require rearranged delivery you will be held responsible for an additional delivery charges. Should we have to wait to gain entry to your venue you will be billed at £15 per hour.
Paddy Cakes accepts no responsibility for any loss or consequential loss incurred by the customer as a result
We will only make 1 more delivery attempt. Therefore, after you will be required to collect the order from 129 Fortess Road London NW5 2HR
Because of the nature of our business and quality and freshness assurance, we will dispose of any baked items that are not picked up or successfully redelivered within 48 hours after the due time and you will not be refunded
Complaints
Customer will be asked to sign a sheet that states the following
“I confirm that this cake has been collected/delivered (delete as applicable) in good condition, No responsibility can be taken by Paddy Cakes Ltd for any subsequent damage once the item has been handed over to the customer or venue. Paddy Cakes will not be liable should the customer believe there are any problems with the cake once it has been accepted.”
Signing this indicates you are happy with the product received. We often send the customer a photo of the completed product the day before the order is due. If you are not satisfied, please ensure you say as soon as possible this gives us time to correct any problems. We are not responsible for mistakes made by the customer i.e. incorrect/misspelled names or incorrect choice of product.
Some complaints may require further investigation and an immediate refund may not always be possible. Cakes, or part of cakes and other treats, must be returned to us within 24 hours to ensure we are able to fairly assess the nature of the complaint the cake must have been stored at the correct temperature and in the box we supplied, out of the sun and away from damp conditions or heat. If you are complaining about a refund you must return at least 75% of the uneaten product within 24hours of delivery.
Paddy Cakes Ltd do not refund for customers that have simply changed their mind or if the cake or sugar work has been damaged out of our care
Summer Orders
Paddy Cakes recommends extreme caution if you are considering a cake decorated with buttercream for a summer event (May – September) Paddy Cakes Cannot accept responsibility for any melting of the cake one it has left our care, as we have no control of the environment/venue temperature. We can advise you of a design that is less susceptible to melting and will do everything within our control to reduce the impact on the cake
Non-Edible Items
Many of our cakes contain small portions of inedible items such as support dowels, ribbons, wires in sugar flowers, flower pricks, floral tape ect). It is the customers responsibility to ensure these are removed by caterer/guest before consumption
Transporting and Storing Your Cake
Your cake will be chilled before collection to make transportation is easier. The fridge helps keep the cake firm so there is less chance of the cake shifting and getting damaged during the journey. We advise you to keep the aircon on to keep the cake cool.
Do not place the cake on a seat in the car. Seats are slanted and can damage the cake. The cake should be placed either in the boot or the footwell of the car and on a non-slip surface. Extra care should be taken when driving as some elements may be delicate. Hold the cake box from the underside and avoid any pressure on the side walls (refrain from leaning the box on your body too) we will not accept any responsibility for damage to the cakes when collected and transported by the customer
Storage and Shelf Life
All Ganache cakes should be placed on a flat surface and stored at a cool room temperature in the box provided they should be kept out of direct sunlight and away from damp conditions or heat. Buttercream cakes should be stored in the fridge
Cakes can be kept for 5 days in the fridge in an airtight container. To prevent it from drying out. Always rest to room temperature before consuming for optimum taste and texture
Photography
Often, we will photograph our cakes and we reserve the right to use them,
for display or promotion without any compensation to the customer
Serving Sizes
Our standard cake serving sizes are 1"x2"x5" high. Cake serving sizes are estimated. Speciality cakes, carved cakes and method of slicing may affect the total serving number. Customer understands and accepts these terms, and must order their products accordingly after having considered these variables. We provide cake cutting guides (except carved cakes) with all our orders for you to follow to get the ordered servings.
These terms and conditions apply under all circumstances including government restrictions surrounding COVID-19
